Is it OK to use the mat if I have titanium rods and staples?
Metal pins, rods, artificial joints, or any other surgical implants generally reflect far infrared waves and thus are not affected by this system; nevertheless, you should consult your surgeon before using any infrared therapy.
We have many customers with titanium implants (I myself have several rods in my hands and knees) and have not received any negative feedback yet.
But of course, the use of an infrared mat must be discontinued if you experience pain near any such implants.
