Quick Start
A ‘quick-start guide:
- be sure there are no contraindications
- drink some water and create a relaxing surrounding atmosphere
- put the mat on your bed or the floor with crystals facing up
- connect the controller to the mat, then to the power socket
- turn the controller on, set the timer, set the temperature (better to begin with low levels as 35-40°C and 15-30 min procedures, the mat will be slightly warm)
- Cover the heated stone mat with a thick blanket (cotton or bamboo only) to pre-heat the stones for 20-30 minutes. Remove the blanket and lay it on the mat.
- do not move a lot on the mat, do not stand on it, do not apply pressure
- If necessary, also put some of the included pads or covers on the mat to cushion it and eliminate the crystals’ pressure. You may add more towels if necessary.
- if you enjoy shorter procedures and your body reacts well, move up to longer sessions
We make 110V mats for U.S. electricity, 110-120V/60Hz, with plugs for a standard U.S. grounded socket.
We have many customers successfully using our products in Europe, the UK, Israel, Russia, HK, Korea, and even Australia with 220-250V/50Hz. You HAVE to use special step-down power transformers and units that convert 220-240V to 110-120V.
Remember that the power of the converter should be at least twice the mat’s power consumption.
IF YOU CONNECT THE MAT TO THE 220-250V POWER SOCKET THROUGH A PLAIN ADAPTER, IT WILL BE DAMAGED.
However, we DO NOT recommend using the mats with different voltage, even with the power converters. Even the one-moment failure of the voltage transforming will damage the whole mat electronics. Please select 220V products for Europe, Asia, South America.
Please, be sure to study the contraindications list and ensure that you have good heat sensitivity around your feet to avoid low-temperature burns.
Drink a lot of mineral water or herbal teas before, during, and after sessions.
You should choose the length, intensity, and frequency of the procedures so that you feel comfortable and refreshed.
Start with the mat on the lowest settings, 35-40°C, and only for 15-20 minutes. (you should still preheat the gemstone mat for half an hour under the thick blanket)
Then you can add 2-3 C degrees and 5 minutes each other day if and only if you feel comfortable.
You can also try the PEMF and red light functions, on the lowest heating levels at first, for 20-30 minutes to check how your body reacts. Later if necessary, you will be able to use all the functions or combinations together.
And of course, do not forget to drink a lot of water and replenish minerals like calcium, potassium, sodium, magnesium, and others, which you may lose with sweat or urine.
Be sure to have a doctor's approval, especially if you have any health condition.
Of course, read the owner's guide and the contraindication section to ensure that the mat is OK for you, especially if you are going to use it on high heat settings.
You should not feel any discomfort — but if there is any, restart with the temperature, length, and frequency set to the lowest possible.
NEVER cover the mat with anything but the covers provided with it or towels, sheets, and blankets made from natural materials (like cotton, bamboo). The topper has to be permeable to FIR rays. If it is not permeable (rubber), the FIR heat will be trapped, the mat could overheat and even burn.
Some examples of not allowed objects on top of the mat can be - controllers, thick pillows, books, yoga, and camping mats.
So, for your safety, please, never keep or put anything on the mat besides permeable covers. Only your body can be on the heated stone mattress.
It is also essential that you cover the mat completely while preheating it.
If you cover the mat partially, the temperature sensors positioned in the different layers of the warming mattress will report different and controversial measurements to the central controller.
Finally, the controller may lose calibration and start to work incorrectly or malfunction.
So, please, always cover the mat entirely while it is preheating to set level.
