What is PEMF and how it works?
Small electrical currents and magnetic fields naturally exist in the human body as a part of ongoing chemical reactions and biological processes, such as digestion, respiration, circulation, and general brain activity.
Magnetism has a long history of permanent magnet use. Metal magnets naturally generating static fields were applied since the middle ages. The pulsed electromagnetic field (PEMF), also called ultra-very-low-frequency (UVLF) or extremely-low-frequency (ELF) rapid pulsating magnetism (RPM), is a modern restorative technique directing dynamic magnetic waves at targeted areas.
PEMF methods emit similar Magnetic Fields nearly identical to these frequencies created by the cells, organs, bones, and tissues. These safe, natural magnetic fields alternating at rates less than 100 Hz complement chemistry and functionality.
When these frequencies are rapidly pulsed, north and south magnetic poles are quickly alternated at speeds from one to thirty times per second, creating dynamic magnetic waves with a wavelength of up to four thousand miles, the same as the natural magnetic waves of the Sun and Earth.
These are the longest magnetic waves in the universe that penetrate living tissue.
The advantage of PEMF magnetism over the more traditional static permanent magnets is in the dynamic properties of the field. Pulsation brings more energy and achieves more powerful effects with the same or even lower-intensity magnetic fields.
We can also think of PEMF as a battery recharger for those energies which empower us all day long.
Several models of MediCrystal® amethyst and gemstone mats, pads, belts, and vests come with pulsed magnetism copper loops inside.
